If you go to your nvidia control panel (or equivalent for AMD), add runelite to the list of programs, and change Antialiasing mode to "Override any application setting" and set Antialiasing setting to your choice (I use 4x).

Regarding Mac OS X’s Rendering of Outline and Bitmap Fonts. If the images you posted are the rendered display mode and not actual renderings, then the anti-aliasing is controlled by the graphics card. However, I cannot figure out how to get anti aliasing to work.
